Tendering to the HSE in 2011

Overview

On 12th January 2011 the HSE announced its 2011 budget for services at €345,500,000 and supplies at €427,000,000. These are currently advertised and procured on www.etenders.gov.ie.

This seminar is aimed at companies who wish to win contracts for supplies and services to the HSE this year. 

Speakers:

Wayne Dignam, Director Tender Team

Wayne is the Bid Director for Tender Team. Wayne has delivered a range of successful tender management and training workshops with clients in Ireland and abroad that have delivered multi-million euro winning tenders. Wayne has experience of many HSE public procurement competitions and has a high success rate in winning work for his clients. He has a background in business development, consulting and research and development.

Tony Corrigan, Procurement Advisor for  the HSE and NHS

Tony Corrigan works as a consultant to health organisations around the world. He has over 20 years experience in Information Technology and is a recognised a thought leader in the areas of Health IT Strategy and Capability Planning, Benefits Realisation and IT Procurement. Tony has worked with the NHS, HSE, US, European, African, Indian and Asian health systems and is the author of numerous thought leadership pieces and white papers around health ICT. Tony is a regular speaker at health summits including HIMMS, euMHA and EHTA and regularly contributes to health debate in Developing Nations around the Millennium Development Goals.
Tony holds a B.Sc Computer Systems from the University of Limerick and a Business Diploma from Dublin Institute of Technology. 

Orla Murphy, Senior Market Advisor Healthcare/Life Sciences, Enterprise Ireland

Orla Murphy is senior markets advisor to the Healthcare and Life Sciences sectors within the Enterprise Ireland public procurement unit. The unit has a direct mandate to assist Irish SME’s to better compete for public contracts in Ireland and overseas. Orla also engages with the buyers in the public sector to improve capability in public procurement practices, ensuring proper procedures are implemented to allow for transparent procurement. 

Teresa Yi Zhang, Consultant and former team leader of the Hospital Procurement Service Group

Teresa Yi Zhang has over ten years experience as a buyer, most recently as team leader for the Hospital Procurement Service Group, where Teresa was the information and contract support manager. Teresa managed the purchasing data and contract negotiations with suppliers on behalf of the HPSG. Prior to the HPSG Teresa was a procurement manager for Digital Hub and BT Ireland, managing the requests for tenders and evaluation of same.
